‘iGAME’ expo planned for RDS in October

Igame
Multiplayer games tournament tie-in, with regional heats

iGAME’ was originally proposed for the October Bank Holiday of 2004 at the RDS in Dublin – the same weekend as the Ideal Homes, and PC Live, exhibitions. It never materialized.

According to Zinc Entertainment, the event organizers, ‘iGAME’ is back on the cards again. The weekend remains the same, with the exhibition planned to run from Saturday 22 to Monday 24 of October.

As well as an expo, the event is to host the finals of a multiplayer games tournament with regional heats beforehand in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, and Longford.

“Last year’s event never got off the ground due to sponsorship issues. It is essential to the project that we have a major backer for both the event and the regional heats. The set up we have in mind for both are quite costly, we don’t want to do anything by half. With the knowledge and contacts we gathered last year, this year will be a success I’m sure” Conor Glennon, IGAME Exhibition Director, told Games Toaster.
